Renske van der Meer

Renske van der Meer (1984), BA MSc, is based in Rotterdam. She graduated from Leiden University of Applied Science as a nurse. Renske started her career as a psychiatric nurse at a methadon clinic and very soon she started working in a special program for pregnant woman and young parents with addiction problems. After a few years she changed to working in a assertive community treatment team. In 2012 Renske started her Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice in Utrecht. During her master she worked in a specialised clinic for people with addiction and cognitive impairment, an outpatient team for adolescents with co-morbid problems and a assertive community treatment team. Since completing her masters in 2015, Renske is working as a Nurse Practitioner and Manager Treatment for an outpatient mental health and addiciton facility (Basis GGZ, prevention and general practice) organisation in Rotterdam.
Renske has been active as a member of the Nursing Board at Antes (mental health organisation) and is a teacher in motivationel interviewing at the School of Nursing Studies (MSc Advanced Nursing Practice) in Utrecht.
