Dick M. van Etten MANP RN

I live in Amersfoort, a city in the center of the Netherlands and I am a board member and treasurer of IntNSA Netherlands. Started care for people with mental disabilities in 1983 and I am now a nurse specialist in mental health care. My expertise is the care of the elderly and especially the elderly with an addiction to alcohol, benzodiazepine or poly use. Currently I work for, Jellinek addiction care, in a FACT team and at "Arkin BasisGGZ" (ambulatory psychiatric treatment) in Amersfoort. I prescribe medication to all my patients. The focus of treatment is on stabilization and recovery. Another of my expertise is developing nursing training programs. I have a seat in THE DUTCH ADDICTION ASSOCIATION (DAA) and within working groups (https://www.verslavingskundenederland.nl/english/) I representative for the nurses and social workers whom are working in addiction care.
