Addictions Nursing Competencies

Nurses come across patients who suffer from addiction problems all over the healthcare system, from very mild problems to very chronic forms of addiction. Until now, too little attention has been paid to people with addiction problems in Bachelor, post Bachelor, and Master nursing courses. IntNSA Holland is committed to expanding this knowledge by actively contributing to, for example, minor addiction courses, and the development of teaching materials. In addition, our members are active as teachers.

Ultimately, it is our ambition to convert these competences into binding national and later international training courses approved by IntNSA Holland. The CARN Holland / Europe, in which the required content, route and refresher courses for various nursing knowledge and skills levels are elaborated.
